From a small suburb of Brussels in the 13th century, where merchants passed through, to major transformations during the Industrial Revolution, the face of this commune has changed enormously over the centuries.Today’s hyper-trendy district, thanks in particular to attractions such as the Parvis and the Barrière, Saint-Gilles is nonetheless a place rich in history and architecture.

Numerous works by well-known architects such as Jef Lambeaux, Albert Ciamberlani, Louise de Hem, Julien Dillens and others,… The famous Hôtel Hanon, Saint-Gilles City Hall, “Parc de l’Abbé Froidure”,...
