Agency

Agency is a Brussels-based initiative founded in 1992 by Kobe Matthys. Agency keeps an ever-growing list of ""boundary-things"", namely controversies linked to copyright, authorship and intellectual property that challenge the radical division between the categories of nature and culture. The concept of intellectual property is grounded in the fundamental assumption that a separation exists between nature and culture, and consequently also between expression and ideas, subject and object, human and non-human, originality and tradition, individual and collective, body and mind, etc.
